Übungsraumfilter 10

This canister is used in training for the installation and operation of the Canister, Gas-Smoke, GS-10, item IV–B–17.

A red band is painted around the canister and the number "10" is stencilled in white over the red paint.

This canister has the same outer dimensions as the Canister, Gas-Smoke, GS-10, item IV–B–17, and is constructed in a similar manner. It consists of a tall cylinder mounted in caster wheels and fitted with a flanged opening at the top, one on the side and one on the bottom. When the canister is not in use, these openings are covered by steel discs, fastened by bolts.

The canister contains a training charcoal filter (Übungs-Kohlenfiltereinsatz), a training dust filter (Übungs-Schwebstoffilter), and a resistance mass (Staubblende). The latter builds up the resistance of the canister to that of the authentic "GS-10" model.
