This item is a part of the protective clothing for dogs and covers the part of the dog exposed between the gas mask and the suit proper.

There are no markings of identification value.

The hood is made of the same material as the suit proper of the protective clothing for dogs, item IV–D–17, namely, a gray-colored textile material which has been rubber-ized on the inside to give several hours protection against vesicante. It overlaps the gas mask around which it is drawn tight, has two protrusions for the dog's ears and overlaps the suit proper.

There is also a training verson of this item which is marked "Übungs"; it is not rubber-ized.
