The purpose of this clothing is to give the dog's body protection against vesicante.

There are no markings of identification value.

The suit consists of a body cover with rubber foot cover attache. It is made of a thin gray colored textile material which has been rubberized on the inside and gives the dog several hours protection. The suit is fastened over the dog's back by straps and buckles and the foot covers are tightened around animals legs by footstraps. After the suit and dog respirator have been put on, the hood is fastened over the edge of the respirator facepiece.

The suit comes in three sizes for dogs varying in height from 20 inches to about 35 in-ches. The entire outfit may be rolled up tight and carried in the hollow space in the face-piece when the mask is in the carrier.

There is a training version of this suit which is not rubberized; it is marked "Übungs".
