Pferdeentgiftungsbüchse

The shaker is used to hold and dispense bleach powder to decontaminate horses con-taminated with CW agents.

There is a label on the side of the container which has printed on it: "Gebrauchsan-weisung für die Pferdeentgiftungsbüchse".

The olive-green colored shaker is made from passed cardboard, is cylindrical in shape, and measures 2.8 inches in diameter and 4.4 inches high. One end is perforated, and the other end is covered with a removable lid. Over the perforated end is also placed a slip-on top which may be removed when the decontaminant is to be used. In order to fill the container, the end opposite the perforations is taken off, and the decontaminant is pla-ced in the shaker. Attached to this lid is a fabric strap enabling the lid to be removed easily. The shaker contains Losantin bleaching powder.

The above described shaker is the "41" model; the "40" model is slightly larger but made the same way and has the same label. It measures 3.5 inches in diameter and 5.5 inches high.
