This carrier is used to carry the Mask, Gas, Dog, 41.

There are no markings of identification value.

The carrier consists of a haversack, a shoulder sling, and an animal decontamination container.

The brown canvas haversack, having an overall length of 13 inches, is formed in the shape of three pockets; the facepiece container, the facepiece cover, and the animal deconataminant container pocket. The facepiece container and cover are sewed toget-her. When the facepiece is inside the container, the cover folds over and buckles to the carrier by means of a leather strap on the cover and a leather strap and buckle on the carrier. The decontamination container pocket is sewed to the outside of the cover and is closed by means of a leather strap and buckle.

A metal band is riveted to the rear of the carrier and two metal loops are fixed to this band for hooking the carrier to the supports on the dog's harness. The carrier is fitted with additional carrying straps, including a shoulder sling.
