Tragetasche zur Pferdemaske 41

The purpose of this carrier is to contain the Horse (as Mask 41) when it is not in use and to enable it to be carried by the horse.

There are no markings of identification value.

The carrier is made of dark green material similar to burlap and measures 9 x 12.5 x 15.5 inches. It is designed in the form of a haversack and is divided into two compart-ments, the flaps of which are fastened by means of two brown leather straps. The two compartments are separated by a piece of cloth which forms the bottom of the upper compartment. The sides of this cloth are sewn to the haversack but the ends remain open. The upper compartment contains the gas mask and goggles and the lower, the horse gaiters. There are three pockets on the inside of the top compartment, one on the back, one on the front and one on the side.

On the front of the flap covering and the lower compartment is a white cloth blank label, 2 x 4 inches. The carrier is fastened to the horse's harness by means of long black cloth straps which are connected to the carrier on both the back and front.
