Tragetasche zur Pferdemaske 39

The purpose of this carrier is to contain the Horse Gas Mask 39 when it is not in use and to enable it to be carried by the horse.

There are only commercial and govermental markings on the rear side of the carrier.

The carrier is a greenish-gray canvas bag with stiffenend sides and bottom. The can-vas where the stitchings act as a hinge; the lid overlaps the front and sides, and when closed, is fastened by two leather straps and buckles on the front side. The bag is ap-proximately rectangular, 11.3 x 10.3 inches and the sides are four inches high. The out-side of the bottom has four iron loops fastened on by means of leather straps which are both sewed and riveted to the bottom. These loops serve as a means of attaching the carrier to the horse's harness.
