| PURPOSE: |

The purpose of this paper is to detect mustard gas in the liquid form. |
| MARKINGS: |
|
The packet is marked: "25 Blatt Spürpapier", and likewise the instruction sheet glued to the front of the packet. |
| DESCRIPTION: |
|
The paper is colored light pink and comes in the form of a tablet of 25 sheets measur-ing 4.7 x 7.1 inches; the pad has a stiff cardboard back and a tan colored front. The pad is contained in a double light green paper envelope which is opened by pulling the string which hanges free at the top of the packet. |

Liquid mustard and other materials such as fats, oils and benzene produce dark red spots on the paper after several minutes. |
