Satz Spürfähnchen

The purpose of this set is to warn personnel of contaminated areas by marking such areas with the flags and tapes.

There are no identify markings except the "skull and crossbones" on the flag.

The set is composed of a black leather or fabric carrying pouch, having two pockets. The deep pocket which comprises most of the pouch contains twenty flags, while the smaller pocket contains the tape. The overall length is 22 inches, while the widths at top and bottom are 7.5 inches, and 2.5 inches respectively.

The flag, triangular shaped, is made of yellow cloth stamped with a black skull and cross bones. The flag is fastened to a red-painted wire standard pointed on the end and 20 inches long. At the top of the wire standard are two metal loops to support a similar flag and thus doubling the height for use in tall grass.

The cloth tape dyed yellow is one inch wide and is 75 feet long. It is fastened from flag to flag to show the boundary of the contaminated area.
