| PURPOSE: |

This powder is used to detect the presence of liquid chemical agents by means of a color change. |
| MARKINGS: |
|
The word "Spürpulver" is stencilled on the lid of the drums. |
| DESCRIPTION: |
|
This powder consists of a finely divided silica, colored either pink or ochre, the color being due to the dyestuff on the silica. The powder comes in 25 and 50 kg steel drums containing also a scoop for removing the material. The drums are painted dark green and have the same measurement as the 25 and 50 kg drum described in item IV–A–8. |
