| PURPOSE: |
|
This canister serves as a gas and dust filter in the "0.6-1" collective protector system which can be used in armored vehicles or shelters. |

| DESCRIPTION: |
|
The canister is cylindrical, made of sheet steel and painted field gray; the diameter is 12 inches and the overall height, 17 inches. The cover (D), which is detachable, is held in place by four fasteners (C) secured in the closed position by a narrow metal band pas-sing around the canister. Removing the cover enables the replacement of the filter units (A) when they are exhausted. These filter units resemble the ones described as secon-dary filters in item IV–B–19. |

The canister is mounted directly on top of the air pump and has a capacity of 0.6 cu-bic meters of air per minute. The layer (B) consists of charcoal. |
