The purpose of this pump is to spray decontaminating suspension on contaminated areas.

The lid of the wooden box container has the word "Entgiftungsspritze" printed on it. Directions for use are printed on a piece of paper glued to the under surface of the lid.

The pump is packed in a wooden box measuring 27 x 8 x 7.3 inches. The lid is hinged to back side of the box. Nailed in the upper right hand corner of the box is a solid woo-den block which houses a spray nozzle. In addition to the spray nozzle, the pump is pac-ked as three other main parts: the pump assembly, rubber hose, and foot stand.

The pump assembly consists of a metal tube 19 inches long and 0.8 inches in diame-ter. One end is screwed into the pump handle adapter, the other into the upper check valve assembly. The handle is cylindrical and made of black painted wood, 1.7 inches in diameter.

The hose is made of rubber and is 8 inches long and 0.8 inches in diameter. It has a threaded male hose connection at one end, and a female connection at the other end.

The foot stand is a metal tube 0.6 inches in diameter and 22.3 inches in length; the lower end is bent at right angles to serve as the foot rest.
