This material is issued to each soldier for the decontamination of weapons and equip-ment.

No markings of identification value are present, although manufacturers' markings and dates are embossed on the bottom of the container.

The decontaminant is contained in a flat, brown, plastic flask closed by a screw cap of similar material. The flask proper measures 0.7 x 2.5 x 2.5 inches and the pack pro-jects 1.2 inches. The flask contains a yellow, oily liquid smelling strongly of chlorine.

Containers for the flasks have never been seen, but literature reference mention that they may be of two types: the pressed cardboard type as described under item III–G–3, embossed with the word "Waffen", or the flat metal box type which has a slip-on cover at one end and containe several small cloth wads in addition to the flask.
