These heavy rubber boots are worn during decontamination work to protect the legs up to the knees.

There are no markings of identification value but the size number and the year of ma-nufacture are stamped on the top of the outside of each boot leg. The pair being de-scribed is marked: "Gr. 11 X 1939".

These boots are made of heavy black rubberized fabric and are quite stiff. The leg part of the boot is vulcanized to the slipper part at the ankle. The bottom of the slipper has a non-slip surface and a one inch rubber heel. The above mentioned size has an overall length of 15.5 inches; the length of the slipper is 12 inches.
