The purpose of these pants is to serve an part of an anti-gas suit for decontamina-tion work.

There are no markings of any identification value.

The material is a rubberized fabric and may be colored either black or slate gray. The pants are amply proportioned, made in the form of high waisted overalls with a bib in front to cover the chest. Two long heavy rubber straps cemented between two thick-nesses of the trouser material, are attached to the back and have seven button open-ings on each. The front of the trousers has a set of black plastic knobbed buttons at each side, waist high, and also two similar buttons at the top of the bib. The long straps fasten to the buttons on top of the bib and two small waist straps attached at the sides fasten to the side buttons. These small waist straps serve to give the trousers a closer fit at the waist.

The pants legs terminate in black rubber elastic cuffs which serve to make vapor tight seals over the ankles. The overall length of the front of the pants is 51.2 inches; of the back, 46.5 inches.
