The purpose of this belt is to provide a means for attaching the gas scout's accesso-ries when he is wearing the "Light Protective Clothing 37" or "39".

No markings and identification value are present.

The belt (A) is made of stiff webbing dyed a grayish green color. It is 1.8 inches wide and 57 inches long. One end has a blunt point made by folding back and sewing down one corner; the other end has two 0.9 inch web loops sewed in adjacent positions, the first being 1.2 inches from the end of the belt.

The belt also exists in another modification (B) which has a metal loop buckle assemb-ly for fastening it about the body. Either belt is worn on the outside of the protective clothing.
