The purpose of the gloves is to serve as the anti-gas protection for the hands and arms when the "Light Protective Clothing 39" is worn.

No markings and identification value are present.

The gloves are made of light gray closely woven cloth coated on the inside with op-panol rubber. The gloves are made in sections which are sewed together and then the seams are covered with rubber cement. The gloves are a one finger mitten type and reach up to the armpit; the overall length is 2.1 feet. Where the glove reaches the arm-pit, a 2.1 foot tape (0.8 inches wide) is sewed on to be tied around the shoulder to the coveralls, and thereby prevent the glove from slipping off the arm.
