The purpose of the gloves is to serve as anti-gas protection for the handle when the "Light Protective Clothing 37" is worn.

No markings and identification value are present.

These gloves are made of two types of material: one, a gray closely woven cloth, coated on the inside with oppanol and the other a fabric coated on the in-side with op-panol and on the outside with Buna rubber. The gloves are made in sections which are sewed together and the seams, up to the grommets, are then coated with rubber ce-ment, the remaining seams being left uncoated.

The glove is a one finger mitten type, 18.4 inches overall length. There are two rows of 4 gommets each, one row on each side of the gauntlet two inches from the thumb edge and extending 5 inches down from the open end. These gommets enable the glove to be laced tightly over the sleeve of the coverall. At a point where the wrist is suppo-sed to fit, there's a rubber band sealed on one side of the glove. When the glove is worn, this band is used to tighten it around the wrist.
