The purpose of this curtain it to protect the neck when the anti-gas "Light Protective Suit 39" is worn.

No markings and identification value are present.

The curtain consists of a light gray closely woven cloth, coated on the in-side with oppanol rubber. The top is fitted with a short cloth loop and the front, with two short tapes, one on each side. The loop makes the curtain fit tightly around the helmet near the rim and then it drapes over the rear of the neck and shoulders. The two tapes in front are tied just below the inlet assembly on the gas mask facepiece to draw the cur-tain tight around the sides of the neck.
