The purpose of this cap is to protect the neck and shoulders when the anti-gas "Light Protective Suit 37" is worn.

No markings and identification value are present.

The cap is made of gray, closely woven cloth coated on the inside with oppanol rub-ber. It fits over the helmet and gas mask facepiece, the canister being on the outside. The rubber elastic band which is fastened by a cloth loop to the front of the cap is pul-led over the cap to fit it securely on the helmet. The sides of the cap drape freely over the shoulders covering the upper part of the chest and back.
