| PURPOSE: |

The purpose of this cartridge is to absorb carbon dioxide in the Draeger oxygen breathing apparatus "Selbstretter", models 1924, 180 and 200. |
| MARKINGS: |
|
A white strip of paper is pasted around the cartridge near the bottom and is marked "Alkali-Patrone "M47" Sr (17.5 cm) für Selbstretter Model 1924, 180 and 200". The cart-ridge is also embossed on the side near the top: 7 x 14 SR. |
| DESCRIPTION: |
|
The cartridge is an oval can painted dark green and measuring in cross-section 5.5 x 2.8 inches and 6.9 inches tall. The two openings at the top and bottom are closed with plastic screw caps which are sealed with a wire thread and seal. The contents of the canister is chiefly sodium hydroxide and this model is satisfactory for one hour's use. |
