| PURPOSE: |
|
The purpose of this breather set is to supply the user with sufficient oxygen when he is in a deficient atmosphere, due to fires, explosions, or high concentrations of agents in confined quarters. This set is lighter and more portable than the Draeger HA model. |

| DESCRIPTION: |
|
The apparatus is fastened to a curved steel plate which is carried on a leather strap filling around the waist of the user. Two hoses connect the apparatus to a "Y" fitting which in turn can be screwed into the standard face-piece in place of the canister. The components of the set are as follows: |

| 10. | Lever for increasing oxygen supply quantity |

The breathing bag hands below the apparatus and consists of a rubber lined cloth bag about 13 inches square. The alkali cartridge is a 7 cm x 14 cm x 17.5 cm model and is protected by a metal shield which fastens over it. This breather set is a civillian Draeger product which is also used by the army. |
