This hose serves to connect canisters of the "box" type to gas mask facepieces. It may also be used in connection with the "Y" Tube, item III–D–21, to connect two canis-ters to a facepiece.

There are no markings of identification value.

The hose consists of a corrugated rubber tube, 1.7 inches maximum diameter, and fitted with an internally threaded metal coupling on one end and an externally threaded coupling on the other. The rubber hose is covered with a dark tan-colored fabric and the metal couplings are painted green; the hose is secured to the metal couplings by green cord. The externally threaded coupling fits the standard thread in the gas mask connect-ing pieces and the internal thread coupling fits the standard threaded openings on gas mask canisters.

The unextended overall length of the hose is 23 inches.

A variation of this hose has a green fabric covering and the externally threaded coup-ling has a 45 degree bend.
