| PURPOSE: |

These colored smoke signals are intended to be thrown from aircraft as signal to other aircraft or to the ground forces. |
| MARKINGS: |
|
The metal container is painted the color of the smoke and has a label marked: "Ab-wurfrauchzeichen Blau (Rot or Violett)". |
| DESCRIPTION: |
|
The painted metal container is 3.3 inches in diameter and 8 inches long with a pull ig-niter on one end projecting one inch. The signal is packed in paraffined rectangular card-board box which has a white label trimmed with the color of the signal and marked with its name as indicated above. The signal has a delay of one second and then burns for 1.5 minutes, emitting the smoke through the four vents on the fuze end of the signal. |
