This mortar serves the same purpose as the 35 type, to fire the 8 cm smoke ammuni-tion.

There are no markings of identification value.

This mortar is a single barrel, breach loding, mobile 10 cm with a hydropneumatic re-coil mechanism. The round is fired by a spring loaded firing pin in the breach block. The length of the barrel is 68 inches. The sight, and the elevating and traversing handweehls are located on the left side of the barrel. The barrel can be traversed 14 degrees and elevated 45 to 85 degrees. The weapon can be fired at a rate of 8 to 10 rounds per mi-nute at a maxium range of 6500 yeards.
