The basic overall color of Soviet bombs is generally a dark gray. The known exception is a propaganda bomb, AB, wich is green overall. |

Special characteristics are indicated by colored band around the bomb nose section or body. Variations from the following table may be expected. |

The site of crater produced by a bomb depends on the nature for the earth, and the depth of penetration achieved by the bomb before detonation. The following table provi-des some general data on craters produced by Russian demolition bombs, equipped with fuze of varying delay; and dropped on ground ranging from normal soil to river boulders. |
