| Description |
|
The bomb bodies are cylindrical castings of magnesium alloy, with the nose internally threaded to take a nose fuze. Toward the nose, the bomb casing is perforated by two small vents, plugged with wax. The bombs differ in tail assemblies, with Type A consist-ing of three sheet-metal vanes supported at the ends by a circular ring and Type B con-sisting of a cast-alloy tail cone and eight vanes. |
