Chapter 8 - CONTROLLED MINES |
THE RM MINES |
The RMH MINE. The RMH mine was a ground influence and/or controlled mine. It was started in 1935 and completed shortly thereafter. It was intended to replace influence ground mines in the event of a metal shortage. This mine was used extensively in all German controlled coastal waters, both as an influence mine, and as a controlled mine. It could operate in any of the four ways that the RMA operated. |
