Introduction |

Included in this section are five sizes of practice bombs. These are the only ones spe-cifically designed for that purpose, although there are currently in use several practice bombs which are merely service bombs inert-loaded with sand, water, or a chalk/lime so-lution. The standard practice bombs generally emit smoke as a spotting charge to indi-cate bombing accuracy. |

Standard practice bombs are painted white over-all with two light green bands paint-ed around the center of the tail. Inert-loaded service bombs used as practice are paint-ed black. Practice bombs containing an exploder have a red band painted around the rear portion of the body. |
