| PURPOSE: |
This item is used to train civilians in the handle of thermite incendiaries. |
| MARKINGS: |
These incendiaries are found in many forms: cardboard containers, aluminum alloy containers, and sheet metal cans. There may be no label on the item or, if there is a label, it may be marked with one of the following names: "Einheits-Brandsatz ETE 250", "Brandsatz T500", "Sprühfeuer", and "Brandsatz ETS 250". |
| DESCRIPTION: |
The drawings on the opposite page are that of the "Brandsatz T500" (A) model, and the metal can type (B). The "T500" model is a sheet aluminum cylinder 3.5 inches tall and 2.8 inches in diameter. The other consists of a sheet metal can measuring 1.8 inches in diameter and 0.4 inches high. A cross is cut out of the cover and sealed by a piece of paper on the inside. Model "T500" has the same type cover. These incendiaries are igni-ted by "MOX" matches and produce red hot melted metal similar to that produced by ge-nuine thermite type incendiaries. |
