| MARKINGS: |
The outside of the container is marked with the label: "Grosse Kombinierte Geruchsta-sche". The inside is marked: "Schau- und Geruchstasche für chem. Kampfstoffe". |
| DESCRIPTION: |
The container is a cardboard rectangular box 7.75 x 4.75 x 0.9 inches. The outside of the box is covered with a thin imitation leather on which the label was pasted. The con-tents consisted of 12 vials with metal screw caps and inserts attached containing glass wool which was the absorbent for the agents. The over-all dimensions of each tube is 4 inches long and 0.5 inches in diameter. The base of the tube contained a sealed com-partment which was formed by a constriction 1.3 inches from the bottom. The sealed portion contained the simulated liquid agent which enables one to recognize the physical properties of the agent, such as viscosity and appearance. |
The insert tube attached to each cap has a bulge at its bottom in the case that the agent is a vesicant; this prevents the insert from being completely with-drawn from the tube and reduce the possibility of the use being burnt by the vesicant. Each vial has a label on it identifying the agent is contains. |
