The shaker is used to dispense large amounts of decontaminant powder on the ground or on large horizontal surfaces.

Manufacturers' markings and dates may be found stamped on the top or bottom side of the cover.

This shaker is similar to the metal model, item IV–A–7, except for the material out of which it is made. It is constructed of pressed brown cardboard coated inside and out with a brown varnish coating. It is rectangular in snape with rounded edges, measuring 8 x 8 x 14.5 inches. The cover is made of black plastic with a ribbed steel handle. The sha-ker is used in the same manner as the metal model but cannot be refilled.
