This lotion is used for the first aid treatment of phosphorus burns on the skin.

The label on the bottle is marked, "Behandlungsmittel für Phosphorbrandwunden", and also contains directions for use.

The lotion is contained in an amber colored glass bottle stoppered with a waxed cork stopper. The bottles may be rectangular in shape, 4 x 4 inches in cross-section and 8 in-ches tall, or they may be cylindrical in shape, 3.6 inches in diameter and 9.5 inches tall.

The contents of the bottle, when thoroughly mixed, is a thick cream colored, odorless liquid, smooth to the touch. Upon standing, the liquid separates into two portions. The copper sulphate solution, light blue in color, forms a layer above the mixture of hydrated aluminum silicate which falls to the bottom in the form of a white precipitate.
