The Losantin tablets are issued to German troops for use a s skin decontaminant for blister gases on the skin.

The canister is marked "Losantintabletten"; direction for use are also printed on the cover.

The container for the Losantin tablets is a brown plastic box capped with a slip-on lid which is held in place by a strip of adhesive tape. The box measures 3.6 x 4.3 x 5.1 in-ches and contains four individual, brown, rectangular shaped paper containers measuring 1.9 x 2.3 x 3.1 inches. Each paper container holds 165 white tablets of stabilized bleach powder known as "Losantin". A strong odor of chlorine is noted when the container is opened.
