These eyeshields serve to protect the eyes of the wearer against dust and strong sunlight, the colorless type being suitable only for the former.

There are no markings on these eyeshields.

The two types of eyeshields vary only in the color of the transparent plastic used; one type has colorless plastic shields and the other, yellow-green shields. The eyeshield proper is made in four sections, the plastic to plastic connections being made by sewing a strip of cloth tape over the out-side of the seams. Each of the side sections has six 0.1 inch holes for ventilation purposes and a metal-trimmed eyelet for the headstrap. The latter consists of a 0.4 inch adjustable elastic band. The outside edge of the eye-shield proper is trimmed with black velvet tape to prevent the plastic shields from cutting the face.

The colorless eyeshields are packed in a heavy white paper envelope and the colored ones in a dark green envelope, one per envelope.
