The purpose of this microphone adapter is to obviate the necessity of changing the cover of the ordinary hand-microphone telephone receiver. It enables the wearer of the German telephonic gas mask to speak into a microphone system.

No identification markings are present.

The microphone (C) is 1.3 inches in diameter and can be attached to the special out-let of the telephonic gas mask with a black metal adapter internally threaded. The micro-phone is fitted with a black connecting cord, 28 inches long, and a plug (D) which fits into the hand-microphone without affecting the use of the latter.
