The purpose of the carrier is to provide an individual carrying container for the as-sembled civilian VM 37 or VM 40 gas mask. |

| DESCRIPTION: |

The carrier is a green painted, cylindrical, sheet metal container with hinged cover and snap fastener, 6.5 inches in overall height and 6 inches overall diameter. A non-ad-justable fabric tape carrying strap is attached to the carrier by means of two metal loops soldered to the side. |
