The purpose of the carrier is to provide an individual container for the assembled 17/18 Gas Mask and accessory equipment. |

| DESCRIPTION: |
|
This is a sheet metal cylinder, externally pinted green, 7.7 inches in height, and 4.6 inches in diameter. There is a circular metal compartment under the cover for anti-dim discs. The cover is closed by a heavy wire snap fastener and metal hinge. The carrier has three metal loops soldered on the side; the top two taking the web carrying strap, and the bottom one, the webbing and clasp attachment for fastening the carrier to the soldier's belt. |
