This bomb is designed for floating in water and has an 8 inch square drogue plate on the end of the tail fins which is torn off when the bomb falls into the water, thereby pulling a connecting rod and ignitting the smoke mixture. The smoke filling is contained in an inner cylinder 4 inches in diameter and the re-maining part of the bomb is a sealed float chamber. |
