This item serves as flamethrower to be mounted on the Pz.Jg. 38 tank.

This flamethrower is fitted with a projector gun which operates similary to the "41 P" model in that the fuel is ignited by cartridges, the magazine holding 24; the gun is cover-ed with a removable shield 3 inches in diameter. The diameter of the fuel jet is 0.55 in-ches and has a spring closing anti-drip flap which is opened by the operating handle. When the latter handle is pulled, the igniting cartridge is fired and the fuel valve opened; on releasing the handle, the spent cartridge is ejected, a new one forced into position and the fuel valve closed. The gun can traverse 20 degrees to the left and 40 degrees to the right and can be elevated 35 degrees and depressed 5 degrees. The projector gun weighs 37 pounds.

The fuel is held in 3 tanks with a total capacity of 154 gallons and is pumped from the tanks to the gun under a pressure of 200 pounds per square inch at a rate of 110 gallons per minute; the pump is powered by a D.K.W. gasoline engine.
