This flare signal burns with a very bright color and can be used as a light or colored signal. |
| MARKINGS: |

The name "Handleuchtzeichen weiss (rot or grün)", is painted on the side of the sig-nal. |
| DESCRIPTION: |
|
The signal consists of a paraffined cardboard container two inches in diameter and 2.1 inches high. A cloth pull tape removed the cover which the matched and striker. There is a cardboard disc 1.5 inches in diameter, glued to the cover; this disc has 11 teeth around one-half the circumference which serve to identify the signal in the dark when the label cannot be read. The flare burns with a very bright flame, white, red, or green, depending on the color of the signal (weiss, rot or grün). |
