This item is a hand smoke signal manufactured in three different sizes: 80, 160, 350.

Each of the containers is painted orange and marked in black with directions for use and the name "Rauchsichtzeichen Orange 80 (160 or 350)".

All three types are orange painted cylindrical cans with clip-on covers. The #80 size is 1.5 inches in diameter and 3 inches high. The cover is sealed with a strip of adhesive tape and it covers the cord or chain of the pull igniter. The orange cloud lasts 12 se-conds. The #160 type measures 2 inches in diameter and 3 inches high; the #350 type measure 3 inches in diameter and 3.5 inches high. These latter two sizes generates a larger cloud of smoke than the #80 size. The coloring agent in the smoke is a combinati-on of yellow and orange organic dry-stuffs.
