BODY CONSTRUCTION |
The bomb body consists of a cast steel cylinder tapering to an ogival nose, which is threaded internally to receive the fuze. |
TAIL CONSTRUCTION |
The tail consists of four (4) pressed steel fins riveted to a tail cone. The assembly is welded to the base of the bomb body. |
REMARKS – The bomb breaks into approximately 280 fragments upon detonation, and has a lethality area of 1800 sq. yds. |
