The type 2 projectile is painted black over all and in some cases has a yellow band around body. |

The type 2 modified projectile is painted silver-gray over all. |

Remarks: The difference between the type 2 and the type 2 modified is in the fuze. The type 2 projectile uses a fuze that has an external gaine and thus has less explosive filling than the type 2 modified projectile which uses a fuze with the gaine built into the fuze body. |
