Remarks: A distingushing feature of these bombs is the construction which permits fit-ting the nose of one bomb into the tail of another. This union of the nose and tail serves two purposes: (1) It prevents the fuze vanes from rotating while in the cluster; (2) It decreases the length of the space nee- ded to contain the fuzed bombs in cluster con-tainers. |
