General: This is a simple switch consisting of a tubular piece and a spring holding a contact rod away from a nose piece where it would complete the circuit. One circuit lead is connected to the contact rod; the other, to the spring. The spring's forward end rests against a copper-plated aluminum nose piece. A plastic tube insulates this piece from the contact rod. The contact rod is bolted to the plastic base. On impact, the tube is crus-hed, forcing the nose piece against the contact rod, completing the circuit. |
