Description: The Base Fuze Mk 134 consists of a molded plastic case in which a length of Ensign Bickford safety fuse is coiled with a cap on one end and a 20-gram charge of black powder on the other.

Operation: Blast from the motor impinges and fires the cap. The cap sets off the fuze which burns for 15 seconds before the burning gets to the black-powder charge. Explo-sion of the black powder expels the window load through the forward end of the rocket.
