90. Submarine Identification Flares Mk 11 and Mods are similar in all respects to Submar-ine Identification Flares Mk 10 and Mods, except that the Flares Mk 11 burn intermittent-ly, while Flares Mk 10 burn continously. |

Instructions for the operation, stowage, and safety precautions applicable to Submarine Identification Flare Mk 10, apply to Submarine Identification Flare Mk 11 and Mods. |

(a) Submarine Identification Flare Mk 11 is marked with RED mark and burns in four incre-ments of ten seconds with a RED flare and with fice-second blackouts between the first, second, third, and fourth ten-second periods of burning. |

(b) Submarine Identification Flare Mk 11 Mod 1 is marked GREEN and burns exactly as in (a) above, except that the signal light will be GREEN. |

(c) Submarine Identification Flare Mk 11 Mod 2 is similar for those above in (a) and (b), except that it is marked YELLOW and burns with a YELLOW flame. |
